Whatever the cause, that looks like a lot more than being hit with a jetwash lance - unless it was whacked down hard on it.

I had a similar problem with a Volvo V50 that I owned. It was perfect when it went in for a service (the garage is also a Land Rover franchise) but when I went to pick it up there were three dents on the bonnet

The garage are legally responsible for taking good care of your vehicle whilst it is in their possesion. If they damage it they fix it 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

I had a similar experience with a Mercedes main dealer and they refused to accept blame until I demanded they looked at the cctv with me - case proven - end of arguement ! |

Just an update - I took the car back this week, together with several photos or the damage.

Watch out for the timeframe since it went in. They might not keep CCTV footage for very long. |

I had a customer collect his 10MY FF 2 weeks ago, had a phone call 3hrs later explaining his rear light was smashed (half the clear cover missing smashed!) so i replaced it FOC, good customer, had no reason to doubt his word looked after his RR's for almost 10yrs now... Anyway, one of my guys 16yr old sons work at the local garden centre and was telling his dad how this RR reversed into a trolley in front of him and smashed his rear light and drove off!

Craig, I take it that's either an ex-customer now, or a "special rate card" customer?!?! |
