Hello all, I have been a lurker here for a long while. Signed up just as I decided to buy a RR. I am now the proud owner of a 2012 HSE Full Fat. Bournville Brown. I live in Dubai and the place has only Petrol 5.0 versions

Now, this car comes with a Dual View screen. And there is a button (like the volume knob) that says "DVD Enter"
Strangely though the vehicle comes with only a 6 CD Changer!!!! No DVD player!

So off I went to the dealers today and they claim this is standard spec and there is no DVD availability for the HSE or the Autobiography! and they didnt seem to think they can add a DVD player as an accessory either. Said they will have to write to JLR!!!!

My questions, and I will greatly appreciate your help/inputs:

1. Can I not get a RR OEM DVD connected?
2. If RR OEM is not available, would you recommend an aftermarketr addition?
3. Would an aftermarket addition such as a DVD changer/player affect the warranty?

DVD player comes with the full RSE pack. It's not standard.

The unit at the front does have DVD Enter on it, as it's the same unit for all configurations. Land Rover Addict

Well, I did ask about the RsE package but I would have had to wait for 3 months!!! I couldnt wait that long after having decided to buy the FFRR. RR

RSE could be retrofitted if you can source the parts, wiring loom and someone with a faultmate to enable the DVD function in the cars CCF. I did this on SWMBO's D3 but fortunately didn't have to repeat the project on my 2010MY FFRR

Hello Nigel. Yes, 2012 HSE (MY2011). UAE specs. We have the SE, HSE, Vogue and Autobiography here. None of the diesel versions.
