High Stop split

Who else has had the high stop brake light split on its leading edge?
On my 2003 TD6 it has split right across and started to buckle upwards. Can it be repaired I ask hopefully or is it a replacement part?

Not split yet, but it is starting to buckle upwards .

A dab of superglue along the split edge and held in a vice or clamp will sort it Thumbs Up

New unit, replaced mine last week, dead easy, cover off inside top of tailgate, release 3 bolts, disconnect electrical connector, remove spoiler, unscrew light fitting, replace. Hardest part is getting the rubber grommet into the top of the tailgete.

This is obviously a common-ish fault. Interesting that all replies so far have been owners of early L322 TD6.

Bought from my good mate Dan @ Duckworths Bow down Been buying that much stuff from him that I think he's going to set me up with an account soon!! As for price, think it was around £40 + VAT or thereabouts. Mine had some failed LEDs and when you see then side by side the old one looked very battle scarred, a nice easy fix though!

Not true joe mine is a 55 plate VSE and it's split and got some LED's out probably with water ingress

Yes start with a course cutting compound then fine compound and finish with a very fine polish something like Autoglym resin polish or Mer
