Now it looks like I might be getting a Lexus GS 430, at least as a stopgap!

Any opinions anybody? I must say it wouldn't be my first choice, but the one I've been offered is very cheap, from a mate! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

disregarding the problems dave, what's a 300c like to drive?

I found it a little numb, steering is heavy and not very precise. The Merc diesel V6 was swift enough though held back a bit by the 4 speed auto box.

It's a good motorway mile muncher but feels a bit clumsy to enjoy driving it around anything resembling a bend in the road.

Interior is a bit lack-lustre, you can tell its been built to a strict budget. I'd imagine high mileage examples will look very tatty inside.

She used to manage 26-27 MPG mixed driving although you could get considerably more on a long journey.

As a plus point it sneaks into the lower tax bracket.
Had it, loved it!

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey

They are a bit boring but they are solid cars and seem to score well on JD power as well and their owners love them..

There is an owners club as well IIRC for them. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.

The interiors are cheaper than a Japanese hooker
