Already tried it. The alarm goes from solid tone to beeping. Nothing works still. I think the BCU may have gone pop. |

sorry just read your post again, you did say it was not connected, close the flap and disconnect the battery give it 5 mins and reconnect, make sure your keys are NOT in the ignition when you reconnect. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Tried closing the flap, yes. Just reading RAVE. It says the alarm has a constant tone but doesn't say when it is triggered. It also says the BCU cancels the alarm when it receives an appropriate signal, which is presumably why it stops when I put the key in position 1, but that's the only way I can stop it and I can't leave it like that all night. |

As soon as I close the flap, the alarm goes off again! Have battery disconnected at the moment, but the backup battery on the sounder is keeping the neighbours nice and angry. |

Sounder has stopped beeping for the time being. Going to have to leave it like that now overnight. It's all unlocked though - daren't touch it in case I set it off again.

I think you've popped the fuse for the BCU... Its in the glovebox fusebox... Have popped the fuse twice on customers cars whilst converting and they come up with the identical faults you are describing... I cannot remember which fuse number it is and im not sure off the top of my head what the fuse symbol they use either...Sorry to be vague! Just visually check them quickly, im quite confident you'll find one gone...

Many thanks for that Craig. I'm popping home at lunchtime to take another look, so will check that first. Is it a standard automotive fuse? Got plenty "in stock" if it is. |
