2006 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black
Recommend me a monitor!

I bought a new laptop a month or two back, and the old monitor I had didn't really support the resolution or widescreen. I usually hook the monitor up to my laptop and my work laptop, with a KVM switch, so that when I'm working at home (most days) I can flick between my own machine and the firm's.

Didn't really want anything too fancy so I bought an AOC monitor, 20" LED, nice and slim, etc - but it's just noticeably not as sharp as the laptop screen, and I can't live with it - so it's going back.

But what to replace it with (without spending mega-bucks). A mid-range decent LED (ie slim, wall-mountable if required) monitor, 20" or so, no other bells or whistles required!

Thanks.

Samsung or Dell are the only half decent screens I come across at work and they seem to outlast the IBM/Lenovo stuff... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I've used a 24" Benq in just this way for years and I think they are all lots cheaper now.

It's not a recommendation as I haven't ever owned another (so nothing to compare it with) since the days of the CRT Very Happy Geoff

Maybe another solution is, a Logitech keyboard/laptop stand (Logitech Alto). I have used one for years with my 17 inch HP. It brings the laptop screen to eye height and the keyboard itself is a "normal" keyboard, plus some handy buttons like volume control etc.

Next to that I have my work laptop (Elitebook 12 inc) in docking station with a 21 inch screen (HP) on a monitor stand and separate keyboard plus mouse. That way I can quickly go from work to play when at home Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I have had a HANNSG 24" hdmi, hd & 1920x1080 for the last couple of years. Excellent and only cost £140. .
