I've used a 24" Benq in just this way for years and I think they are all lots cheaper now.

Maybe another solution is, a Logitech keyboard/laptop stand (Logitech Alto). I have used one for years with my 17 inch HP. It brings the laptop screen to eye height and the keyboard itself is a "normal" keyboard, plus some handy buttons like volume control etc.

I have had a HANNSG 24" hdmi, hd & 1920x1080 for the last couple of years. Excellent and only cost £140. .
