Having had a TD6 for some years i have now changed to the TDV8 and what a diffrence. So much quicker and smoother.

However when i pulled up on the drive at the weekend my duaghetr said that when i switched the car of it was singing to her. Had not really noticed before but when i got to work this morning jumped out quickly after switching of and there was a short series of high pitched noise, all sounded like a bird chirping a few times.

Is this some electrical part shuttng down, Is this normal on the V8?

Thats normal , think it has to do with the EGR valve …. mine does that too

Mine does that too. Assumed it was valves or flaps in the engine bay resetting. BMW used to make some funny noises as well when switched off. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
