Selling D3, looking for Td6..

Hey all, Ive had my D3 for a couple of years now but thinking of a change to a tdv6 Vogue .

Mine is a 05/05 2.7 tdv6 auto with 85k
SE spec with black leather, heated front & rear seats, sat nav, air con, auto lights & wipers, harmon Kardon 6disc stereo, Bi Xennons, front fogs, 7 seats, privacy glass, side steps, 18" alloys with good tyres. electric windows, electric heated folding mirrors, LR overmats & boot liner, all keys/books etc. Gearbox has had megaflush and is smooth & lovely.
Very very clean, with very few small stone chips. being picky there is some bubbling on a couple of the window trims.

Unsure of book value but guess somewhere between 13-14k ish.

Will need to remove private plate if/when i do sell, so will be back on 05 plate. In no rush at all, and would ideally like a black or buckingham RR with cream interior, happy to sell mine & wait for the right car.

Give me a shout if you are looking for a nice D3.

cheers, Cliff.

TDV8 do you mean. Or TD6?

There isn't a TDV6 Vogue. Graham

Thumbs Up

No problem... Thumbs Up

You might find it a bit pedestrian after the TDV6 in the D3. I've got one. And a TDV8 vogue. Graham

Well ill probably only do about 3000 miles a year! i think ive done even less that that in the last year in my Disco! (got 2 other landys a van & a bike!).

If needs be i could get it remapped etc but im not going to pay £400 a year tax for the use it will get Confused If the tax was reasonable I wouldnt hesitate on the V8.

Have you got it up on the Disco forum?

Also don't be too limited by a color choice but if you are willing to wait you can be picky i guess.

Try a drive in a TD6 from a dealer and make sure you can get used to the real old school box and engine as well before you commit as they are a bit different though i think softer riding than a d3/4 and more thirsty!!

If your doing less miles your likely to get the color combo you want with a v8 or sc as most TD6's would have been bought by companies first so more reserved with color, IE mine is charcoal/charcoal/jet and Stornaway grey/silver outside but is a nice place to be and comfy as well Smile

Black hides more marks TBH and if you have kids it will end up with some no matter how clean you think they are Very Happy FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Thanks for the replies, good advice, yes will try both and make a call from there. Its just the road tax that will get me down!

No, im on the Disco forum but havent put it up yet, need to get it cleaned & the plate off & then i will advertise it seriously.

Thanks

Very true, though if you wanted cheaper tax and the bigger engine i dont see why you cant get a 3.6tdv8 and box in there from an early FFRR as the electronics shouldnt be too far apart ECU wise compared with the likes of the RRS with the engine fitted, and it does fit under the bonnet, albeit tightly! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

That particular topic has been covered at great length on the disco3 forum... it's far from simple... even though you might think it should be simple (TDV8 in the RRS after all). Graham

i have had both and for me they do different things, the disco is a more capable car, more flexible, better ride the RR is a nicer cabin and better driver position, just in my opinion of course. i am selling mine and would go back to a tdv6 but am looking for something cheaper.... but there look to be a few good TDG's about....

United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Tangiers Orange

Just a quick advice : Mate, do not-do it!

Went down that road, hated it (and I love the L322!)

Either go for a TDV8 - permagrin , here we come - or go for a hum... D4, 245H 500Nm permagrin

Td6 after a TDV6 is a serious downgrade - bear in mind the TDV6 was built for the D3, the Td6 is a hand me down sedan engine from BMW that the german provided to Ford in a less performant tune than originaly design by BMW - before they sold LR to Ford...

Anyway, try one Td6, a TDV8 then look for the right one l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l
