Wheely rubbish wheel weights

Bit of a problem with wheel balance,

I was seeming to get a bit of a shimmy at about 70 (ahem 80) mph, when I got home I had a look at the front wheels and the outside wheel weight had fallen off the passenger side wheel.

Took it into quack fit and had them re balance the wheel. Great

On the way home the inside weight fell off Big Cry The same wheel.

Again off to middling tyre centre, they rebalanced it again. 500 yds down the road the inside weight fell off again. Different company balanced it. Different make of weights.

I have the standard 19" vogue alloys so they are designed for rim weights but what are they doing wrong. The weights look fine and seem well attached when I leave the garages.

Anyone had this very strange problem. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I thought the weights on alloys wheels always went inside the wheel so as not to be visible when fitted.

We fit a lot of tyres in our garage and never have any trouble with proper clip on weights for alloys but the stick on one s work fine aswell once you clean the rim properly.

Regards

there are indeed quite a few different clip on weights, if you dont use the correct type then they will fall off.. ... - .- -.
