The only thing you can be totally sure of with any budget is that drinkers, smokers and motorists will be worse off, and that despite the talk of grand schemes, there will be precious little to show where the money has gone. The poor will still be poor. The roads will still be full of potholes. The NHS will still be underfunded. |
