water around spare wheel

Anyone had water collect around the spare wheel?

At first I thought it was collected condensation so I sponged it out dry but it shortly returned. The I thought it might have been a condensation leak from the compressor but there is no evidence of this.

Are there any usual suspects?

cover up your sat nav unit just in case it is leaking through the rear quarter glass but it can also come in through the rear bumper irons, there is a big post about it.... V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.
