Injector cleaner ? * Result*

Anyone tried with any success ?

I have symptoms of a bad injector (or looks that way after using the 'search' facility)

Slight missfire
judder when creeping forward or reverse with brake on.
"Engine stability control" message.

I can't really spare the car for the next few weeks, so was thinking of trying a cleaner. Has anyone had experience of any particular brand that works ... Thumbs Up

Thanks.

I use Redex on every other top up and after a while of use, according to the to computer, I get ever so slightly better MPG, or tho not much.

Hard to say for sure if it does definately work, but as I say, after using it since ive owned the car, it "seems" better then when I first got it. Reformed

Some of the Disco3 guys swear by BG244 although I've not tried it. I did, however, try the Petrol version in my D3 V8 and didn't notice a right lot of difference.

Can be found here http://www.powerenhancer.co.uk/product.php...d7634fbee1

Have a read on Disco3 though and also the link to FL2. More info than you can shake a stick at. http://disco3.co.uk/forum/topic41832.html?highlight=BG244

I think injector cleaners need to be married with giving the engine a right good blow out and worked hard so you're forcing a lout of fuel plus cleaner through the nozzles. V8 or else ...

Got to say - very impressed with BG244

Had it in the tank for a couple of days, and the judder / missfire have gone Shocked

I guess it may only be a short term fix, but 100% better at the moment, I was never really a fan of additives, but changing my view on them now.

I'm no way connected to BG244 - just a satisfied customer with the results I had.

@ Stan: about £12 Laughing

Think BG44K is Petrol and BG244 is Diseasel.

Seriously I believe it's a difference additive and more aggressive. Think I've seen something on the detailing forum about it.
