There was another thread on here where someone with a >2010 said theirs was softer. I guess there may be a chance you could put the 2010struts on? |

new dampers will make a big difference mine was closing like a barn door till I changed them. |

I think the struts and dampers are the same thing as they do perform both functions FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Something else to check, are both of the catches working on the lower tailgate? If only one works (as we are finding more often as the cars get older) The top tailgate gets much harder to close (and much much LOUDER!!!)

Thanks lads for the suggestions, I'll check it out.. See what I can come up with, maybe add some padding on certain areas if I can't find anything wrong. |

I will check the dampers too, when I close mine it sounds terrible and cheap. Waiting for the lower tailgate mod parts from Dan will do both together. Tom
