[SOLVED] Problems with post editing (links) using Chromium

Editing a post today, with some links to photos on the gallery, some external links (using )and some code that is "recognised as links" saw all the links and info wiped out after submit.

e.g. in edit mode I would add a link Google and after submit it would show ].

I am using Chromium Browser on Xubuntu 11.10.

Worked fine using Firefox on same setup.

Might be my system or something in Chromium? I'll try another forum using phpbb, see what happens. Hmmm same things happens. Entering the url works first time on submit, but if you go back to edit the post again it wipes out the link. Will wipe a plain link as well, e.g. .

Chromium still deleting links in edit mode ? Big Cry

Not happening on VBulletin or IP Board (Invision Power) .

Let me have a look at this in detail, apologies I hadn't picked up on it before.

Hi Martin

Finally solved this one. It was an extension called Linkification (that converts plain text to clickable links) I had installed. removing the extension solved the problem. (I'll just have to drag and copy now Sad )

Useful to know if it pops up elsewhere.

Thanks for the support,

Joe90 .

Hi Joe,

Thanks for letting me know. A tip with Chrome is to highlight the text, then right click - if Chrome detects it looks like a link then it will offer you to the option to "Go to....".
