Very nice set of chevrons there, do you subscribe to citroenian at all or pop onto the FCF at all?? What engine does it have and is it tweaked for the rallies?

Hi Neil, I was wrong, mine are actually the 275/45/20, not the 40 profile. I've just pulled the invoice, I paid £650 inc VAT and fitting at my local tyre place. They've had a good 15k on them now and I must say that I am very impressed. Grip is good on and offroad, road noise is not bad at all. I spent a lot of time on wheel balance and alignment to avoid scrubbing the crap out of them with messed up geometry. It is hard to be specific but I reckon they've only worn by 2-3mm over 15k. I'd be surprised if I don't get 25-30k out of them. Ride quality is ok I guess but then I don't really want 20'' wheels on mine and when these Hankooks have given up I will sell the wheels and tryres and get a set of std 19''s. |

Ta. Yes, I'm a member of the CCC and get the Citronian. Is FCF a French car club? As for the FFRR, the chrome door handles are coming off leaving the std grey ones underneath which I quite like. The vents are stuck over the originals with sticky pads too but getting them off is proving to be a right bitch. Planning to use the wife's hairdryer on them to see if they'll come away. |
