No. Sorry if that came out wrong. With the IIDTool we can change options in the CCF.: FBH fitted, Power fold mirrors fitted, allow TV in motion, turn on main beams as DRL, etc, etc etc. But these are all items that LR already programmed into the various ECUs. The IIDTool allows you to "reach in" and switch these options on or off or alter them. For the mirrors to fold, you need an ECU to send the mirrors a 'Fold Now' message when the car is shut down. LR (BMW) never programmed this option on the pre 2010 L322. So you need an extra-module of some sort that listens for the 'Car is shutting down' signal and broadcasts a 'Fold Now' message. Or the elegant but very costly way to achieve this is to write a bit of code that does this and flash it to an ECUs memory (the cheapo way would be to use a relay/timing circuit that bridges the contacts on the fold switch momentarily on start and shut down). But I had assumed that, since the mirrors were changed on the later models, the message had changed as well. Seems it hasn't. So a mirror fold module will theoretically work on all L322s 2002-09. That's what I meant. RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr, P38, and 2 L322s (wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too) |

Sidelight activation upon unlocking of vehicle. When I mean side lights what I mean is Sidelights (Front and Rear) , Puddle lights and numberplate lights 20-30 second delay. - Also to dimmer on and dimmer off. And Upon locking vehicle vehicle lowers ride height to entry level and side light activation (same as above). And upon locking and unlocking, the vehicle beeps ? 5I |

Simon hi, key was in ignition but IID was not connected. To lower the suspension the ignition needs to be on only (engine need not be running) but to raise the engine needs to be running... Hope that helps...

I use the height access a lot, and mine works with key out but i only get a certain amount of time once key has been removed, like 30 seconds or something |

As long as you have not opened the doors Lolo then yes it gives you a min or two but as soon as you open the door then you need to turn the ignition back on to lower it...

Now that we know the parameters and constraints of accessing ride with the key removed from the ignition, odoothort could you create a program to cater to this?

One of the items to consider when attempting large suspension movements in the L322 (or any modern LR) at rest is that, in contrast to the solid axle vehicles, the suspension moves the wheels through an arc as it goes up and down moving the wheels in and out relative to the body and each other. If the vehicle is moving, the tires can 'scrub' outwards or inwards depending on whether the suspension is going up or down.
