Carpet or Rubber Mats..?

I currently have the genuine carpet mats, but been contemplating whether to change to the genuine rubber ones. I think they look more sporty and rugged. Only thing is theY can get dirty and old looking v quickly.. What yous think?

I use rubbers Very Happy

Dead easy to clean with a bit of water on old woollen wash mitt and catch a lot of fine dust/dirt where as it would get ingrained in a carpet and require hoovering Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I have both in mine... One on top of the other and i use mainly the rubber ones over the top of the carpet ones when the weather is bad and the carpet ones on top in the summer months...

The rubber ones ive had since 05 in my last 2 FF's and they still clean up nice with rubber dressing...

Craig Thumbs Up

I do like Craig's reply. Nice bit of lateral thinking. Thumbs Up

Carpet for me. All that leather and metal and stuff. Rubber just doesn't seem to work in such a luxurious carriage.

I have Genuine rubber mats in my 110. Look great when clean, but soon look crabby when dirty.

The carpet fibres hold the dirt and hide it for longer. A quick and occasional wet wash brings them back again easily enough.

That said, I do have a rubber mat in the boot, but I haven't allowed it to get dirty yet. Si. <This is my name.

Have edited the choices as lots of us will have both, me included.

I use the rubber ones throughout the shooting season and then for ski holidays etc, but then the rest of the year I like a bit of luxury and put the carpet ones in. Discovery 4 HSE

As RRUK said. Both.

I actually also have a spare set of rubbers which I guess are for the newer MY07 as they don't fit mine. Rolling Eyes

I'd dread to think what my carpet mats would look like now if I hadn't exchanged them for rubber.... The Joys of living in the countryside... Regards

I find the rubber mats come up like new when I get the car washed, they jet wash them and dress them, and get great results. Also live in the country, so mud is an issue.

I'd think about getting carpet ones for the summer, but not sure there would be any real benefit. Thumbs Up Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

How do the rubber ones work in the rear? I only have one big mat in the rear - is this the same with the rubber?

Rubber for the winter, carpet for the summer.

Only rubber at the moment - but it's reminded me that the carpet set would be far more comfortable on long drives to the Alps !
