Exsaust Recirc

Anyone know anything about exsaust gas recirculation govenor have a fault on the td6 engine ecu giving this message

where is it ?

whats it do ?

can it be repaired ?

i believe thats the egr valve...if its faulty then buy a blanking kit and get rid ... ... - .- -.
