Engine judder

Hi

Recently, I have been experiencing what appears to be wheel vibration when my RR Td6 is under load at 2,000rpm.

At first I thought it was wheel balance but, having had the balancing sorted, the vibration is still there which leads me to wonder whether this is an engine problem. Having been charged £2,500 last year by the main dealer to replace both fuel pumps and the injectors, I'm beginning to wonder whether this is a hangover from the work they did.

Any suggestions greatly accepted.

Thank you

I have had what sounds like exactly the same thing. Search for my various posts - member name Olders - for a fuller description.

Haven't identified or sorted it yet. Still there. Don't think it is getting much worse but certainly not better!

Have had fault codes for both injector 8 and injector 1 - haven't reappeared after clearing codes ( I don't think) despite not chamging anything but problem is still there.

My guess is injectors or engine mounts, although others on here with similar sounding issues have replaced mounts to no avail.

Am just living with it for the moment, until something crops up that might help identify it.

Would be nice to get it sorted though! -----------------------------------------------

sounds like torque convertor, does it do it on light throttle between 1500 & 2200 rpm? if so its the convertor clutch. mine started doing the same a week ago, feels like driving over light corrugations(oz thing) if you press on a bit lively its ok but just cruise and it judders.

hope this helps

you should see the rpm fluctuate when it does it. 03 TD6 vogue....Epsom, very nice

Hi, See this thread http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic6961.html

I had the same problem, I was without my fullfat for 12 weeks.. after a gearbox rebuild, a new torque converter and a new propshaft (all under warrenty Cool ) it was a laptop at land rover that diagnosed the problem as being the injectors.

The previous owner had fitted the wrong injectors Rolling Eyes

Seeing as yours are new, I'd check the serial number on them Thumbs Up
