Thanks for all the info- managed to get the glovebox off by pushing down on the two stays (not immediately obvious what I had to do tbh) then got faced with -NO FUSEBOX!! The I realised it was hiding ...

thanks stan- what would I be checking for? I can pop a multi meter across to check voltage but is there anything more complicated than this I need to be aware of?
