I would check the battery too. Had the same warnings (and more) myself, all resolved with a new battery.....and alternator!

I put my 2003 FFRR through it's MOT today....It passed!
One advisory that the nearside anti-roll link is wearing, so I will be getting that sorted later this week.

Yes, I experienced the same thoughts and feelings regarding the smooth running of my 2003 RR when I had a new Bosch battery replace the old tired battery.

To start with I recommend that you take a good look at the battery.
Even though it shows or displays a 'full charge', it may have lost its ability to hold the charge.
