It took a while more because life got in the way than actually being difficult to do Very Happy

I used a BMW E39 adaptor bracket (the plastic surround) because I already had a generic double din head unit ...

Ah ha, Front wheels are extremely hot after a run. Threw some water on all 4 wheels this morning after driving to work, nothing from the backs but the water boiled off as soon as hit the fronts.

Nah, I've decided to 3d print a tablet mount that wraps around the factory head unit instead. Picked up a nexus 9 for £40, much cheaper than a decent android head unit.

Gearbox fluid was changed last year. Oil looks like it's been done at least yearly since new.
