You can have the "Auto Wipers" disabled by the dealer or by an indy with the right computer. You can then set the variable delay to be 5, 10 or 15 seconds.

One possibility is in the screen-mounted sensor; do you also have trouble with the automatic lights? The same sensor doubles for both wipers and lights on.

2004 wouldn't have had auto lights - same principle applies though to check the wiring. Especially if it's ever had a replacement screen. |

If it's a 2004 without auto lights then chances are it does not have auto wipers either. Mine didn't until I bought the sensors and new LCM (for the lights)

Good shot from comports of a mirror without the sensor. If yours looks like this then there's no sensor:

Suppose it may have had the screen AND mirror etc replaced at some point in the past. The wiring would be there then, easy enough to check I guess.

agreed... but it would go against all printed LR advertising literature as well as the workshop manuals. I actually wonder whether comports original owner asked for the car to not have the feature? |

I'd be surprised if it is a Vogue SE being a 2004... the Vogue SE was introduced on the 55 plate. With the occasional 05 sneaking through. |
