i have just wired my car for 13 pin electrics and that is correct, there should be one permanent live feed which lets you have 12v power for lights etc and one ign feed which in conjunction with the caravan relay should kick in to power the fridge and charge the battery. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

The Range Rover came with 13 pin electrics and so did the caravan.

We've managed to resolve this issue... The wiring loom the Range Rover should have fitted to it is YWJ500460. This has a relay for the caravan electrics and has the right coloured wire going to the right place.

The wiring loom that was fitted to our Range Rover was YMZ000020. I'm not sure what this wiring loom is but the colours in the plug don't match anything I can find a reference to and there was no relay fitted.

When Googling the wiring loom number Rimmer Bros. have one listed for around 50 quid, the correct loom is just over 100 quid, but other then that I can't find out what it's for.

Anyway, we fitted the new (correct loom) yesterday, tested it this morning and normal service has resumed.

electricery is a funny thing and Land Rover as i have said before use non standard colours in their looms, probably to stop us plebs from fiddling!!
