Already checked them out at companies house. Mr. Green
Maybe I'm a bit enthusiastic. They only went pop 24 hours ago.

It's just because we are up on last year and a few more vehicles would be handy...

Liquidations won't appear on companies house for a few weeks have you found out who the liquidators are as they might have already received a bid from interested parties wanting to buy before goods go to commercial auction houses

This isnt normally decided until until a Creditors meeting which can take a few weeks. We were shafted a few weeks ago by a company who left us owing 60K but I was able to find out liquidator details by doing a google search a couple of days after the creditors meeting hope that helps. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE
Gone Audi A5 2.7TDI
Gone Discovery 3 HSE
Gone Mercedes CLK
Gone Range Rover 2.5 DSE

Fox:
1 phone the company (you may get a straight answer)
2 it's advertised in the London gazette (online, but difficult to search)
3 all creditors will be written to before the meeting to place the company into liquidation (do you know any suppliers)
4 companies house - but as said this is retrospective

Are you sure it's liquidation, not administration?

Thanks.

Phones not being answered.

Pretty sure it's not administration, because they took two bus loads of special needs clients to a day centre and then never picked them up. Pretty disgusting considering some of them were in wheelchairs too. They just seemed to have pulled the plug mid-day. Shocked
You just can't do that in this business.

Maybe he was trying to punt his stuff before the big boys got their hands on them so as to not take so much of a hit on losses

Administration can happen much quicker than liquidation with limited notices in the gazette (hence why I asked)

However, all employee contracts are terminated upon liquidation and the liquidator would have to take on personal responsibility for any employees retained if he kept on trading, even to the end of the day - which may explain why the clients were never picked up, although it's still a pretty poor show on the face of it.

Don't forget however that any liquidator or administrator would not necessarily have control of the vehicles... They're likely to be leased and the finance company may have regained control immediately. It may not have been the Appointee's decision at all.

It's difficult to judge without knowing the particulars of the scenario. An administrator would normally collect the clients if only to preserve the reputation of himself and the qualifying floating charge holder (normally the bank) and protect himself from adverse publicity.

Shouldn't you have been at the creditors meeting Question
You should have been listed as a creditor on the bankruptcy documents no?

Over here, trustee in bankruptcy puts written notice on the door of their business. I'm assuming its the same over there? Our laws are largely based on UK laws.

mike.
