Driver's seat height limited

RR L405 v8 2018

The range of adjustment on driver's seat, appears not to be the same as the range of adjustment on the passenger seat.
I have measured the distance from the roof to the seat squab at the rear where it meets the seat back and the passenger seat has more height adjustment than the driver's seat. i.e. the driver is sitting lower than the passenger when both seats are adjusted the same.
I have tried all the adjustments and the driver's seat range is limited when compared to the passenger seat.
Does anyone else find this to be the case ?
Is there a mechanical seat height adjustment ?

Probs due to the extra gubbins fitted under the drivers seat on the AB, I expect CTC or other more knowledgeable bods can advise, don’t think there is any mechanical adjustment other than seat removal with spanners Laughing “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Not sure how it explain this in an easy to understand way, but here goes. The motors on the seats have a memory chip, so the motor knows how many turns to do for the seat to reach maximum up / down ETC, if it was assembled a tooth or two out, or been messed with at any time it may not reach one of its extremes as the motor thinks its already there. I did one not long ago with this very problem, not going up enough. I ended up removing the seat, plug the electrics back in, remove the motor, press the up switch with the motor out until the motor stopped. Then literally lift the seat to the maximum height manually and refit the motor, and hey presto it worked as it should. This may not be your fault and is a faf to do but worked on this occasion.

Cheers Diesel Dave, I know exactly what you mean. I'll investigate this further and see if the motor is winding to the mechanical limit.

Finally sorted this with the help from ID GAP tool.
I contacted them before buying a tool about seat re-calibration. They kindly wrote an add-on software update that allowed me to do a seat re-calibration.
Worked a treat and now my driver's seat has the full range of adjustment.

Great to hear you got it sorted, and interesting on the re-calibration of the seat via the GAP tool. Thumbs Up
