Check your battery condition and age; performance tends to fall off a cliff once they start to get old. If it needs replacing get a good quality AGM.

I got a YBX9019 Yuasa AGM Start Stop Car Battery 12V 95Ah from https://www.tayna.co.uk/ TDV8 4.4 2012

“Intermittent wouldn’t start” as in…..turns over but won’t fire? Won’t turn over?
Battery then starter motor issues would be my guess, but a little more info might help the gurus on here come up with a solution. As Dutchgit says, ignition lock has been known to play up as well. Hope it’s sorted. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Got a funny feeling if you go for the 020 you’ll have to trim the battery corner or similar. Very tight fit an 020, 019 slip in lovely😂🫣 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

I could be wrong, but a 2008 MY should be able to just squeeze an 020 in without having to faff about cutting off bits of battery casing. My 2006 does easily. Later years use AGM batteries and have extra cabling in the way. Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)
Galaxy 2001-2007
Mondeo Estate 1997-2001
Sierra Estate 1993-1997
Uno Turbo 1987 -1993
Fiesta 1984 - 1987
Fiat 127 1982 - 1984

An 020 will fit fine but you need to get creative with the positive terminal as the starter fuse block won't fit...

Run a jump lead between engine and negative terminal on the battery. This will hopefully rule out a dodgy earth lead.

Stick an 019 in with no dramas then, that’s what was in there from new. Tayna is the best source. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Yea may go with the 19 ……still pretty new to the Range Rover community, would I be right in thinking that a low/ bad battery would show a lot of error codes when using my gap tool.?

A poor battery will result in lots of error codes…replacing/ recharging the existing battery is invariably the first thing you should do. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23
