Sorry if this has been posted before, but on my 2011 L322 the parking beeps are very quiet and when I turn the volume up the radio gets louder too, is there a way to adjust the volume separately ?

from memory you increase the volume as the parking sensors are sounding. ... - .- -.

Thank you for the prompt reply, I do that but the radio volume goes up to drowning out the beeper

do you switch the radio off when doing the sendors? ... - .- -.

It has been posted before, but there's still no definitive answer to it. I've even tried to find a way of increasing the volume using the GAP tool, without success.

In light of your post, I went back out to the car today in an attempt at getting the solutions presented to work (again), but no joy. Engine on, engine off, radio on, radio off, each time using the steering volume buttons or the main volume knob...... Nothing!

All I have is a quiet beeping going round my head after twenty minutes of attempting to make it get louder while sat in the drive with reverse engaged. I've even removed the speaker from its position inside the rear cubby hole and left it hanging loose in the boot-space to avoid the sound dampening effect of it being behind the side panel, but it doesn't make any appreciable difference. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

i now recall this problem not being solved..

you could extend the wiring and re-position the sounder from the rear cubby to somewhere closer to the drivers seat.. ... - .- -.

I always just adjust the volume when the F or R is sounding... Same on the 405

I presume you mean that you simply turn down the stereo at the time in order to hear the parking sounders?

The issue is that it's easy to forget to do this and next thing you know, you've bumped something unseen.

An audible warning ought to be audible regardless of ambient noise. These (rear) sounders ain't.  The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

No sir, I mean, I adjust the volume of the PDC sensors when they are sounding… My car reduces the audio sound when the PDC are sounding so twiddling with the volume buttons, you never know which your adjusting? The audio or the PDC! Hence me waiting for the PDC to sound (usually by me parking against an object) then adjusting the volume to suite… 👍

I checked this one with GAP directly before.

There is no way to change the parking sensor volume with or without the IID tool.

You can however change some of the adaptive volume settings by holding down the musical note button for 3 seconds to load up that menu (note this is different to the normal sound settings menu). 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
