Rear Bag Advice

Gents I am doing the wheel arches so decided to overhaul rear suspension and do hub bushes and arms as well ass wheel bearings and thought I have never replaced the rear bags on the suspension in the 10 years I have owned it. Thinking I might just do them (on well over 200k ) Thoughts?

Sounds like a good move to replace the bags at the same time, especially at that mileage. With everything else off the vehicle it will be relatively easy to carry out the bag change. Thumbs Up

To be fair Craig I replaced all the bushes including subframe at about 120k also the front bags and shocks and rear shocks wheel bearings and arms regularly its just the rear bags which I never replaced they look ok and no leaks but I am a preventative maintenance man as opposed to wait till it breaks so will just replace them Thumbs Up

I put Bilstein from Island 4x4 on mine and have had no issues with them.

I’ve read of others saying they fail if you use off road height though. I use mine in off road height in the fields at crawling pace but not very often and have had no issues so far.

Thanks David I think it is because the 3.6 of that era used a different shock and bag and they are too small for the diesel not sure but think that is it
