FBH Question

Hi
The FBH on my L405 works fine but when I press the remote the green light flashes quickly for about 15 seconds and the unit doesn't start up, I press it a second time and the green light flashes slowly and the unit starts up.
Is this normal or is this some secret code warning of imminent disaster looming?
Cheers

My L322 does that sometimes. I think it might be as the car is “asleep” on the first press and maybe systems need to come on a bit. Second press is always good….

I wouldn’t say it’s anything to worry about, but happy to be corrected….

Thanks for that. It sounds very logical, I don't recall my l322 doing this but the FBH isn't reliable on mine. I'm just pleased that it does fire up eventually on the L405.

I think it might be a low battery in your FBH remote fob. Perhaps worth changing this to see if that behaviour stops. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

I think it is normal. if it doesn't connect when you first push the button. It is also to give you feedback that the car received the command.

This video also talks about the remote for the FBH

Thanks for the replies - I did consider the low battery option but as the FBH still works every time, I can live with having to press the button twice.
Other than changing oils and filters I believe that it should be illegal to do anything to a Range Rover if it's working.

Mine flashes quickly on the first press, the fbh then starts up about a minute later ( roughly, I haven’t timed it) and works fine. Perhaps give it more of a chance before pressing again, and see if yours does the same

10 out of 10 - mine did exactly that, I was just being impatient
