They are fairly cheap from the dealer, I didn’t consider alternatives.

I replaced mine about six months ago, the large patch of oil on the drive gave away the leaking damper.

You can check by removing the bottom bolt and feeling the resistance of the damper it only takes a few minutes but as someone said you need a jack to support lower wishbone to get bolt out and back in as the airbag acts against you.

I got mine for Island 4x4, they are sided but its obvious when you compare them.

I changed mine on my own but you do need long arms to reach inside the rear door to get the first bolt on. L322 4,4 TDV8
