Can't help with the differences but my 2008MY is perfectly happy with 2015 L405 TPMS sensors.

Does your SC already have monitors fitted David? Or are you fitting to add them to your virgin car? |

It’s already got the receivers in the arches thankfully. I think it’s just been turned off and the sensors removed.

Does the wheels you use on your SC have the TPMS sensors in already? |

No, I’ve bought a set ready to go in them from another member on here who bought the wrong ones for his 2016 L405.

Just a point, the coils in the wheelarches are transmitters, not receivers, the receiver is above the roof console. The transmitters are fired sequentially every few minutes to trigger a response from the individual wheels so the TPMS can work out which sensor is in which position. |

I was going to suggest popping them in the boot when your next driving and see if over the next 10 miles or so, they throw up flat tyre faults! If so, maybe they are the correct ones? |

That won't work - they need to be registered in the TPMS module first. They will auto-learn as running sensors due to the initiators triggering them, the spare only sends status every 13 hours unless the pressure has dropped and needs to either be a previously running wheel (but will be inhibited from triggering a dash message if it was the cause of a running low pressure message) or registered by a TPMS tool or diagnostics as the spare, only one spare can be registered. |

TBH it'd be less hassle just to fit them, you only need to break one bead and compress the sidewall down enough to remove the rubber valve stem and slide the sensor in. |

The tyres I’ve got have got the foam blocks in the middle of them so am just a bit conscious about compressing them incase they come unstuck.

Well the other option is to cable tie and duct-tape them to the wheel spokes, the 'learn' drive needs to be a solid 20 mins above 12.5mph (I think, could be kph) Don't bother with one in the boot, you'd have to be really lucky for it's 13 hour interval to coincide with your learn drive... |
