Could be a number of things currently:

- torque converter not engaging
- gearbox badly overdue an oil change
- seized turbo(s)
- EGR fault

An automatic stalling is normally caused by air/fuel mixture issues or the automatic box so, these are what I'd start looking at.

But, I would start by removing the intake and inspecting the EGRs, as these have been known to cause stalling at idle on the 3.6 TDV8.

Do you ever get any shudder at low speeds? This would indicate torque converter. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Thanks Gary for the reply turbos are good I believe as I told they was replaced before buying but not 100% sure. Well about the shudder I am getting a vibration but not only at low speeds does it all the way up to 65mph so think that could be the propshaft. Could be wrong. I reckon your right about the egrs got a feeling it’s them I’ve had nothing done to them and originals I believe and at 141k would not be surprised. Although got a hard downshift from third to second could that be the torque converter?

The 3.6 is known for the torque converter needing replacement also.

It may be one of these issues to be a process of elimination. Maybe start with checking the EGRs for leaks and an oil and filter change on the transmission with a tube of Dr Tranny. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
