Taking the leap from the L322 to the L460

It's the first time we've placed an order for a car we haven't tested, but I'm not too anxious about that. I expect the press reviews will rank the L460 as probably the best car in the world - the most (or one of the most) versatile, iconic, capable and comfortable vehicle there is.

But probably a bit unusual to jump from a 07 L322 TDV8 to a 23 L460 P510e AB like we do? Financially its definitely not a wise decision to spend > £190' on a new L460. Of course we rather should have upgraded to a 2017+ L405 in stead. But finding a pre-owned L405 according to our requirements (clear glass ++) have turned out to be a challenge in our relatively small domestic market. However using the hard earned savings to take this leap is a bit odd, I must admit. In fact it's more of a YOLO decision based on years of happy driving the L322 Very Happy !

Anyone else taking a similar leap - from the L322 to the new L460 without owning the L405?

Not at all, just AB + exec comf rear seats, carpathian grey, power doors, tow bar and refrigerator. But not as lucky as you that can order using the UK price list Wink ...

The Norwegian tax on cars is a kick in the balls, you could always get a tesla 🙄.
I'm in Portugal its a similar kick in the Censored from the Portuguese government 😭

We've tested Porsche CT, Volvos ++, but nothing can actually compare with the fullfat, IMO. We almost landed an order for the Porsche CT last summer, but it didn't feel right. Good driving machine, of course, but it didn't have the undefined X-factor the RR has.
The question is if the new L460 has the same x-factor (smile-on-your-face, relaxed sturdiness, versatility, timeless design etc) that the L322 has?
