Range Rover L322 ABS issue

Hello all,

I have a problem with my Range Rover L322 model year 2003 with the 4.4 V8.

The Range Rover has the following issues:
DSC ABS HDC and air suspension are without function.

In the morning the Range Rover works fine but after a few kilometers the above mentioned systems suddenly fail.

I have read out with the Bearmach Tool this gave the following errors:
- DTC 52 Rotation rate sensor line
- DTC 5A Short power failure

We have already changed the rotation rate sensor

This sounds like the yaw rate sensor. While you cannot remove it without taking the cubby and center console apart, there is a way to access the connector. Try unplugging and reconnecting as follows:

Under the rear AC vents, there is a plastic cover secured with 4 plastic pins
Gently remove it and shine a light in there. At the bottom, the yaw rate sensor can be seen. Its connector is right at the edge of the carpet. Just pull on it backwards bending the carpet a bit to disconnect. The plug it back in.

Otherwise, I would also be looking for vacuum leaks especially the PCV itself as well as the hose from the PCV to the brake cylinder. Hope this helps.

Have you considered a low voltage problem for whatever reason?

Hello Thank you for your reply!

The yaw rotation sensor is already new!
Leaks I have currently found no.
The error is called rotation rate sensor line!

The voltage is also good the battery was already replaced before the error came up.

Try unplugging, cleaning contacts and reconnecting. Then clear any registered faults. Might not be the cause but it's easy enough and therefore worth a try...

The reason l mentioned possible low voltage is that low voltage fairly commonly causes the problem you are experiencing ie abs, dsc, hdc and air suspension faults all together. Although your battery is good it is a possibility that you have an intermittent connection fault causing your problems.
As vs322 has mentioned it's worth disconnecting, cleaning and reconnecting and see what happens.
I would be inclined to start with the battery and alternator connections. Thumbs Up
