Rumbling and vibration

Drove the old girl 95 miles into North Norfolk yesterday and noticed there is a vibration through the car at 40-65 mph and it doesn’t feel like it’s coming from any corner in particular.
Engine speed doesn’t seem to make any difference but car speed does a bit.

I’m thinking it’s my prop shaft bearing so when I get home I’m going to have a look and see if it’s shot.

Will report back on here what I find Christian.

Sticky rear brake callipers are a fairly common issue. If a wheel is hotter to the touch…. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Prop shaft is out, anyone know how to separate the halves that are bolted together in the UJ?

They seem pretty well stuck and I don't want to hammer it anywhere or I'm concerned it will affect it's balance Christian.

Maybe look in the WM page 283/284?
I presume the RR 2005/2010 have the same shafts, as yours have.

From the WM

The rear drive shaft is a 2-piece unit, supported on a central bearing due to its increased length. The rear drive shaft is connected to the transfer box and the rear differential via CV joints. These joints allow for angular deviations of the drive shaft due to acceleration and braking.
The front and rear drive shafts are not serviceable items and a failure will require the replacement of the complete drive shaft assembly.
FRONT DRIVESHAFT

So following the propshaft centre support bearing replacement and subsequent discovery of sticking rear calliper, I've also refurbished both rear callipers with new pistons and seals and now my rear brakes are working as intended!

No rumbles and no vibration any longer. Bob on!
