United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Stornoway Grey
2010 5.0 SC Multiple warning lights.

Can anyone tell me what might be wrong, my Dad was driving and all these warnings appeared at once and the steering went heavy. We've only had it a few weeks and it has been faultless for 500 miles until now.

Never looked under the bonnet of an SC, but my 'guess' would be that a belt has failed, hence no power steering and the electrical / other faults because the alternator is no longer charging the battery ?

Someone with more knowledge should be along soon Thumbs Up

As Merchy said, if the belt's ok then everything points to the alternator.
Alternator & starter motor are notorious for failing before the 100k mark on these girls. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

The diesels eat starters and alternators, not so much the petrols...

Does sound like a belt though, just look at the front of the engine and see if you can see the drive belt going around all the pulleys

Check the battery voltage with the engine running, should be 14.2+ volts...

If the belt has gone the water pump won't be turning so don't leave it running too long...

Failing that you need some diagnostics plugging in to read faults and narrow it down... Thumbs Up Pete

You should be able to spot if the belts are still intact. You don't need the engine running so if you're not mechanically minded don't have it running when you start poking about.

Get a torch and shine it down between the front of the engine and the radiator, tell us what you see.

The belt winds it's way around several pulleys, so if you research this drive belt, it is sometimes called a serpentine belt, once you see it you will realise why, as in above post, for safety reasons, best check / poke around with engine stopped.
