Noco GB70 here, happily started our old 3.6 TDV8 when it was dead and that’s no small ask and it didn’t even flinch on the TD5 Defender / my Skoda Octavia! Great piece of kit Thumbs Up Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Mine is starting to do the same, even when battery is fully charged, as just been disconnected from a CTEK charger.

If the OE starters develop the issue there the connections in the selonoid get burnt on their faces (at least I think that’s what the issue is) I wonder if a non genuine starter is actually the way to go....

I wonder if there’s a resistance issue in the wiring or similar - the 3.6 doesn’t seem to suffer the same contact problems (I cleaned a lot of corrosion from the MEGA fuse of my L322 when it got a new battery - possibly the same at any other connections to the starter).

Went to JLR Dealer for the issue today. They said they could not find a fault.

See bottom line

Blimey Tee seeing the eye watering cost they want to charge for the faults they have allegedly found, I think the battery is the least of your worries.

Bit over £5k then 🤣

I’d say starter motor then, if battery is fine....

And £87 to supply and fit 2 wiper blades? That really is taking the proverbial.

Not needed since fitting twin batteries, new starter & FSR. Forty years of progress. 1972-2012
