Hi! Not sure what year your car is, but the usual suspect to start with is the wires to the top of the front suspension struts which break over time.

The wiring on top of a rear damper has also been known to fail, but not nearly as likely as on the front dampers because they swivel. |

The replacement wiring kit would certain offer a more long term solution but it does look like you have enough wire to attempt soldering in a short piece of replacement wire as a fix for now. 2012 Westminster TDV8 4.4 Indus Silver
