I think they should, don't appear to be deep, been on the car since I've owned it but not really tried to buff them out.

I'm interested either way.

SHOULD polish out if using a 'machine' - BUT if you can feel them with a fingernail (as bodywork scratch 'test') they will not

They're plastic so will polish out no problem, if the scores are deep you can wet & dry before cutting and polishing

thats not quite true

you will remove 'plastic' that cannot be replaced!

if they are very deep then you will have problems

again i re-iterate - if they fail the fingernail test then do not buy

with bodywork you can build up paint layers to compensate for the deep scratches - with plastic you WILL be left with visible defects

good for you Thumbs Up

obviously shallow scratches which is fair enough - i made my comment advising against deep scratches

i did not doubt you but offered advice to potential purchasers - so why did you not remove scratches before offering for sale - rather than having to go through all the 'rigmarole'??

Nick the answer was simple - time, don't spend that much of it at home and if I am don't want to be polishing out scratches on a part that is used and up for sale. But having seen the chaos that having scratches caused, I went out of my way to go and clear them up - they really weren't that bad I've had them on the car for ages now and not bothered!

No offence mate but other people jumped on the thread selling their own goods and rubbishing these. Just wanted to focus back on the parts rather than get distracted by scratches etc..... but I hear what your saying to, deep scratches are a definitely no no for polishing out.
