Hi Alistair, Thanks for your interest. I realise the deployable steps ‘shrink’ the operating height. Mentioned the SGS Eng 4T & 5T jacks as the smaller ones had the ‘screw thread type extension/telescopic’ and want to avoid that. Also read somewhere that can utilise the ‘off-road’ height to gain the additional space, just trying to workout the minimum jack height taking that approach and assuming a flat 22” tyre with 40 profile might require. Any guidance would be extremely useful - tro just more than myself I suspect. |

BTW - I did buy a slotted pad ages ago - not quite convinced - I think it would help but would need gluing top the jack. Got me thinking whether taking a grinder to the jack might be better....

If its any comfort I discovered the MOD replace LR scissor-jacks with Weber ATDX3–185’s (185 min + 215 lift - no screw section), not cheap but not the most expensive telescopic |
