IID Tool

Hello all IID users, I was wondering how easy the tool is to use when viewing information on the cars screen?

I don't have either IOS or Android and as far as I know there is no windows access.

It seems to me that some operations that I may need to do would be too complicated using the cars screen, am I right?

Many thanks

Stan, yes I read the manual and that prompted my question, glad to hear you found it ok

Lighthouse, what's not so easy?

As far as I can tell some functions are just not suitable using the cars own screen. Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006

I'd suggest a cheap Android tablet or phone which you should be able to lay your hands on for £30-40. Just make sure it meets the BT spec required for the IID. I know that wasn't your question but it will make the experience so much easier. The UI on the app is very rich. I can't imagine trying to do it on the dash except for very basic functions. 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Although be a little cautious - it says on their website "Android devices fitted with a Bluetooth V4.0 transceiver and running on Android 4.3 or higher. Low cost generic devices rarely work."

Thanks everyone, its as I thought, that a device is best, so when I bite the bullet and go for an IID tool, I'll get hold of a tablet.

I wont allow any Android devices on my network so that's a no go.
I may however use an iPad. Its a shame there is no Windows app as you have to use a PC to update the tool

So I think its time to start saving... wife's new kitchen worktop or IIDTool? Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006
