Keep getting the above code along with P040.

Just changed the intake elbow with new. Hose all appear to be fine too. Any ideas of other checks?

Soot levels go up pretty quick. They remain stable when running longer journeys and passive regen is working. But shoot up really quickly at low speeds. 2011 4.4tdv8 Vogue

Definition of error code P244B - Diesel Particulate Filter Differential Pressure Too High“

Means Your Dpf is filling up. Could well be an air leak (4 hoses to plenum, air inlet manifold etc)

Get a high pressure smoke test done. Thumbs Up

What's the normal level before regen? Mine seems to kick in at about 21.9.

Make sure it’s a high pressure test

no "normal" level. Can kick in any time but my warning light (yellow) came on at 23.5g. I had a passive regeneration yesterday at 9.6 (down to 8.2)

Be aware you cannot do a MD forced Regen past 28.5g.

I will have to check the pressure. I was reading the Jaguar tsb last night for the dpf codes and saw it was asking that.

My passive regens seem to hold the levels or reduce very slightly by 0.1 or 2. Active drops to about 4 and stops. It then climbs rapidly within 30 seconds to around 7 or 8 which I thought was weird.

I cannot get the soot mass other than by the inferred using differential pressure so not sure how accurate the figures are. My iid cannot be seen on a pc so I cannot update it. 2011 4.4tdv8 Vogue

yes it's a calculated figure, the algorithm(s) are quite complicated but actually found to be quite accurate. Loads of info in my 'what to do if your DPF is full' guide in the wiki section

I will check oil factor. New silicone hoses are installed and I have checked fit and for oil/soot.

I went out for a long drive after clearing faults. I got a passive regen and it sat at 18.1. Went to shop and switched back on. Soot had gone to 20.9. Got it up to 50 and planned to get to A14. Regen started just under 22, had to slow for a roundabout not stop but the regen stopped at 10.5. Got to A14 and it sat at 350 degrees doing passive and held it at 11.1. 2011 4.4tdv8 Vogue
