Cheers Roger. Share away on here if you want, if not PM me an email or mobile number and I'll get in touch. When Boris allows us out to play again, it would be grand to put a name to a face.

Cheers, Ben

Exciting news for those following this thread, DrRob has been kind enough to offer to swing by next time he is out in the Fattie to show me what it’s all about and also what to look for when buying. Looking forward to it as it will be the first time up close to an L322. The road to ownership is certainly an interesting one and this will be one step closer.

Well DrRob swung by in his FF and I have to say, I've never been more sure about what vehicle I want to own next. The hunt for a FFRR has kicked up a gear. This forum is brilliant as well regarding advice and technical topics. I used to despise the thought of working on my own cars, but the Series 3 and with a forum like this one for the L322, I'm genuinely looking forward to it.

Cheers,
Ben

I’ve a 3.6 2008MY that was an auction pile when I got it. With sorting it out (that included a new turbo) it owes me about 5K but it is, almost, up to scratch so anything is possible. Whilst I have probably got away with this one, if I had my time again I’d have shelled out a few more £ for a looked after one with a cast iron history.

AJ - luckily I have a "non-smoker" and I boot it everytime I drive it when warm....I'd been idling outside Ben's house for a good 25 mins Whistle Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Well as you all may have seen, I've put up a wanted post. So far the search has only really thrown up vehicles that don't tick all the boxes. History and low ownership are my too main sticking points. They are either one or the other in my budget but not both!

I'm not too fussed on spec, Vogue, VSE, Westie or Autobiography. Although only being a member on here for a few weeks, I have been looking for a fair while now but only really seriously since joining the forum. I think this is possibly the most difficult vehicle purchase I've made. Perhaps I am being too pedantic for my budget of £13k.

The next two viewings will hopefully be these two:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Rang...3071162325

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RANGE-ROVER-4-4...2997126060

If neither of these tick the boxes in the flesh I'll have to widen the search and start looking nationally.

The hunt continues......
