3.6 tdv8 DPF FULL SEE HANDBOOK

I have been now enjoying 3 days ”DPF FULL SEE HANDBOOK” message. I have driven it fast, slow, hi revs, low revs in total at least 250km but it won’t go away. IIDTool is not revealing anything unusual. DPF differential pressures are 0,3kPa at idle, 2kPa at cruising and 5kPa when having fun. Very Happy Throttle bodies work, egr works, maf and map values are symmetrical. Regen counters don’t increase. One fault code is active on PCM. P2459-FF (2F) Diesel particulate filter regeneration frequency.

I am starting to think that this alarm has triggered in low voltage startup where fbh was used and it is not cancelled as it has been forgotten. Rolling Eyes

Anyone seen this kind of ”feature” before? Laughing -08 3.6 Vogue

Are those DPF differential pressures in reasonable limits? What do you think?

Today alternator blew up. 12V charging voltage and smell of radio from under bonnet. Nice. I guess it didn’t like those burn off runs. Embarassed Well, in other hand I wouldn’t be surprised if it is the root cause for the DPF FULL message. Laughing -08 3.6 Vogue

Update. After new alternator problem was still the same. After realizing that there is more fault code classes in IIDTool than just confirmed I managed to clear this problem. I am willing to believe that failing alternator with low battery triggered this DPF FULL SEE HANDBOOK alarm to some mid stage and it required all level alarms to be cleared with IIDTool. Although I didn't see there any fault code pending related to this. Rolling Eyes

Anyway it works now and in the process new alternator and radiator was installed. And a winch that had been waiting there for a while. Smile
