What does this part do?

Have a restricted performance pop up. Some black oily residue on these 3 pipes and below on the manifold. Have tried to find out what this part is (behr make LR designation BH42-9B262AJ) to no avail. Anyone know what is is called and what it does? It’s on the right pax side.

These are the 3 pipes covered in oil

thx John. is a leak likely to lead to RP? Even when not in RP it seems underpowered. Could it be a simple leak or is it more sinister?

Does it involve actual fuel in these pipes or just oil? I have had a strong smell of diesel at times.

If there is a leak then I would think that the fuel delivery would be affected which in turn could lead to RP and loss of performance. John

They are your fuel pipes James, coming from the diesel fuel cooler unit and should be under VERY high pressure sir... Thumbs Up

Thanks Craig. Have checked alignment and fitting - if they are high pressure lines do they have an o ring which could split/leak?
