2004 Handbrake warning light switch wiring

The handbrake warning light wasn’t coming on with the brake but did light on start up.

Took cup holder out and there had been a bodge repair of a bare wire duck taped to near the copper contact of the switch. (Like in pic above of a new switch)

Question is...is the connector a bullet type that goes in the curved part of the copper bit or a spade to the end of it?

Wire still works as when you hold it to the switch the warning light comes on.

Thanks

I have the same problem. The wire is held down by the duct tape onto the handbrake bracket and as far as I can see this is original. There must be a bullet of some description to fit into the brass connector and hold the wire in place but I do not have one. Scrutiny of the parts and workshop manuals offers no help. Jaguar Land Rover technical support could not answer the question either.
