My driver's seat arm rest rubs on the centre console producing an annoying creak, like its an old bus.

It is the arm rest rubbing, the passenger side doesn't do it. If I gently pull the armrest away, it stops. The dealer says, there is nothing they can do, there is no adjustment for the seat.

So, it just does it. Rubbing on the console is normal? surely not ?  Wot's that in old money

is the 'arm' not adjustable? ... - .- -.

In my car there is more than a 1 cm gap between the armrests and the console. As in the attached photo.

Sadly not in mine.

The drivers side is too close.

From the pictures you supplied, it does look like it is a normal gap on the passenger side, but clearly not on the other.

Only two things I can think of;

1. Loosen the four torx-headed bolts holding the seat down and 'ease' the seat towards the drivers door, then nip the bolts back up again.
- if that doesn't work -
2. Stick a little piece of self-adhesive velcro (the fluffy side) to the side of the arm-rest where it (hopefully) can't be seen.

Or turn the stereo up....

Wrecker79 turning Stereo up doesn't work, once you've hear the noise/rattle, nothing will drown it out.

I'll try option 2, although the dealer said there was no possible movement available.
TBH I'm not sure they actually bothered with it, beyond looking at it  Wot's that in old money

Have you measured the width of that arm rest it looks to have a bigger radius than all the other pictures

Ash59 it was an optical illusion caused by camera position. They are both the same diameter. Wot's that in old money

Its not the centre console a bit off centre is it?

could you take a measurement from the inside face of the B Pillar to the edge of the centre console from each side? I know it wouldn't be 100%accurate unless you have a laser measure, but it might give you some idea.
