Are L322 values plummeting ?

I have just been offered £17k trade in for my 2012 Westie (65k miles and FSH) against a £28k RS6, with no movement on the RS6 price at all. According to the stealers, an independent sports/prestige retailer, we can blame Greta and ULEZ as values have spiralled in the last 12 months and they will sell the RR to trade rather than retail it ........ Downward pressure from L405 prices also contributing no doubt.

Lower than that I’m afraid, plenty of early, higher mileage L405’s on Autotrader low £20’s and trade price well south of that according to a dealer I was discussing this with last week Shocked

I’ve seen it and know someone will get a very nice car, but values are dropping every month, so if you don’t intend keeping it long term, sad, but get rid now.

low 20's now? Wow!

Range Rovers depreciate, as we all know.

But recently anti-Diesel / ULEZ mindset is a big driver of price plummet and the 405 isn't immune because a diesel 405 isn't ULEZ friendly / Euro 6 until late 2015.

So broadly demand will really drop off for 2013, 2014, and early 2015 405's

.
. Cheers, Greg

It isn’t just London Greg....
Manchester are currently working on their polution reduction plan and I am sure other big cities will follow soon.
All Cat5 diesels will suffer drops in value ,
I am going to run B.B. as long as I can afford it.

As I now work from home I'm only doing about 4k miles a year almost entirely on long runs to see the junior Bradders in London, as much as I love it and its been superb for 20 months, (barring the inevitable starter motor) it seems a bit daft to keep it. Sad Current: FF Westminster money pit

Same here Mike. Southampton are luckily targeting taxis and lorries and not us private motorists...for now! I will be keeping mine for a good few years so long as it behaves itself Whistle Thumbs Up Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Glasgow also have plans to ban diesel cars from the city centre in the next few years.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the prices for some months now and prices are only going one way, quickly.

If I was to consider another, it would have to be petrol, so a 5.0 SC it would be. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey
